Boko Haram suspected in attack

At least 13 people were killed and 24 others injured in a suicide attack on an abattoir in the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, hours after Boko Haram fighters pounded the city with volleys of rocket-propelled grenades in an attack repelled by troops, an aid official, vigilantes and residents said.
